She is Associate Researcher of the Geographies of Conflict and Cohesion line at COES. Consultant of international organizations in the area of migrations for ECLAC; ILO, IOM, UNESCO and UNHCR.
She has published in national and international academic journals, books and book chapters on migration studies. Her main research topics are migration policy, border studies, gender and migration, intercultural education, social inclusion of migrant population. She is currently researcher in charge of the project “Routes and trajectories of Venezuelan migrants throughout South America”
Dr. Carolina Stefoni will guide the Human (In)mobilities in South America. Critical approaches and methodological debates workshop together with Ulla D. Berg at the Center for Latin American Studies at Rutgers.
